"We have to stand together to make each other stronger in order to survive"

My name is Shadi Odeh. I have been working with olive wood for at least 20 years. After I graduated from high school, it was not possible for me to continue my education so I chose olive wood. I wanted to specialize in making bracelets and rosaries because it was something easy enough for my whole family to help with, including my children. I have 1 girl and 2 boys. In addition to my children, my wife, my sister, and my mother all work with me. Beyond my family there are 11 others whom I employ. Beyond working with Christians in my business, I am buying all my supplies from local Christians. This is very important to me.

The numbers of Christians living in the Holy Land is dwindling. We have to stand together to make each other stronger in order to survive. My rosaries and bracelets are made from wood of the olive tree, which was also a very important tree in the time of Jesus. We also know the olive branch as a symbol of peace. Your support will help your Christian brothers and sisters to survive here in the Holy Land.
